Hi! I’m the maker behind The Blossoming Jade.
Handmaking things has always been a passion of mine – not just in sewing, but in every part of life. Over time, I’ve been slowly transitioning toward making more and more things myself: growing my own food, making my own bread, and choosing a slower, more intentional way of living. Creating by hand brings a sense of connection and purpose that I wanted to carry into something I could share with others.
What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into something much more meaningful: a way to slow down, create with intention, and bring handmade pieces into everyday life. Sewing began as a personal craft for me, but over time it evolved into a business built on care, detail, and a deep love for thoughtfully made items.

Each piece from The Blossoming Jade is designed and made by hand in Calgary, Alberta. I specialize in quilted tote bags that blend function with personality. Bags that are meant to be used, loved, and carried through real life, not just admired from a shelf.
I believe what you carry should feel like an extension of you. That’s why I focus on durable materials, intentional design, and patterns that feel a little bold, a little playful, and always unique. Many of my pieces are made in limited quantities or as made-to-order items, which allows me to stay connected to each creation and avoid mass production.
As The Blossoming Jade grows, so will the collection. While tote bags are at the heart of what I make right now, I’m always exploring new ideas and expanding what this brand can become—without losing the handmade foundation it’s built on.
